Visit our Distillery and Refill your Hayman’s London Dry

Finished your Hayman’s London Dry and ready for a new bottle? Why not pop down to the Distillery and refill your empty bottle here…

Simply put the cork back in (no need to wash it as the alcohol will keep it clean) and head down to the re-fill station in our Distillery shop.

As part of this sustainable initiative, we are also donating £1 of every re-fill sold to local charity, Friends of Clapham Common.

So you will not only be reducing waste, saving some cash, and enjoying great gin – you will also be donating to a brilliant local charity.

Please note refills are currently only available for Hayman’s London Dry – not our other delicious gins just yet!

To refill a 70cl bottle costs £22, with £1 donated to Friends of Clapham Common.

Our re-fill station and shop is open Monday – Saturday, 12pm-5pm, when you’re welcome to pop by and have a free taster.

Hayman’s Gin Negroni Week Charity Initiative

For Negroni Week 2022, we have partnered with some of our favourite places to enjoy this delicious cocktail so that every Hayman’s enjoyed, we will donate £1 to our chosen charity, Beyond Food Foundation – who provide life-changing hospitality opportunities to individuals whose lives have unravelled.

We caught up with Richard Gladwin, co-owner of family business, Gladwin Brothers where their six restaurants will be taking part in our Negroni Week fundraising initiative.

Where would we find you enjoying a deliciously cool Hayman’s & Tonic?

I normally have one when I’m out, although there’s nothing better than one on a Thursday night at home when the children are asleep!

How is a family-run business better?

For me, being part of family business just means more. It’s a win win really – I get to work with my family and then when we finish, we are still able to all hang out. It’s also exciting thinking about the next generation, although that is a long way off!

What motivates you each and every day?

My love for local and seasonal ingredients paired with my bigger love for atmospheric restaurants. I love to see guests enjoying our food.

What is your long-term dream?

Alongside our vineyard in Sussex, a vineyard in New Zealand and a little sailing boat for weekends.

Favourite Friday night cocktail?

Hayman’s Gin Martini with a twist.

What surprises you most about Hayman’s Gin?

Its heritage.

How do you serve Hayman’s Peach & Rose?

We serve Hayman’s Peach & Rose in our Shed Spritz with lemonade, summer berries and mint.

Most popular cocktail in your restaurants this Summer?

Well, at The Shed, Hayman’s Peach and Rose has been completely mega!

Hayman’s talks to Beast’s Head Bartender

Alba Vazquez is the head bartender at Beast London, near Oxford Circus, where diners enjoy great cocktails alongside their feast of the most incredible steaks, live Norwegian King Crab and seafood.  Alba has chosen Hayman’s London Dry, as well as Hayman’s Old Tom, as Beast’s gin of choice – whether it’s for a G&T, Tom Collins, Martinez, Martini or any other gin-based cocktail.

While enjoying a chilled Beast Martini (they really are VERY good!), we took a moment to interview Alba and find out what makes the Beast Bar so special:

How long have you been bartending? What do you love about it most?

About 14 years – I love the intensity and the focus required to create a superb drinks experience for all our customers. It makes me happy to have the opportunity to be creative and use some of the best products in the world.

How would you describe Hayman’s London Dry

Hayman’s to me is the expression of gin, it is perfectly balanced between the citrus and the botanicals while respecting the traditional description of gin.

How would you describe Hayman’s Distillery to someone who hasn’t visited?

Hayman’s Distillery is a very special place with a warm welcome and family feel – where guests can experience, interact and play with all the brilliant ingredients used by Hayman’s to make their gin. I love it!

What makes a Hayman’s & Tonic at Beast better than any regular G&T?

It is a perfect pairing for our food, complements the crab and helps to digest the Beast experience without overpowering it.

Describe the bar at Beast and what makes it feel so special?

What makes our Bar at Beast so special is the team: full of passion, creativity and drive which allows us to develop, present and serve up a fantastic experience for all our customers.

What’s your go-to Hayman’s Old Tom cocktail?

It has to be the Beast Martinez: 60ml Hayman’s Old Tom, 25ml sweet vermouth (Lustau Vermut Rojo), 5ml Maraschino, 2 dashes of Angostura bitters and a fresh lemon twist.
