As we head into the New Year, it’s the usual time for resolutions, diets and cutting back. Yet January doesn’t necessarily have to be ‘dry’ with Hayman’s London Light, a new way of enjoying a low-alcohol G&T.
We sat down with gin enthusiast Cara Mills (otherwise known as @ginandinteriors) to chat all things Hayman’s London Light, from why she’s a fan to how she’ll be enjoying Hayman’s London Light this January and beyond.
What do you love about Hayman’s London Light?
Hayman’s London Light gives me the option to drink a G&T with a lot less alcohol – but still really enjoy the taste. I love all the notes of juniper and citrus that you’d expect from Hayman’s London Dry, but at just 12.5% ABV I feel slightly smug knowing that I’m consuming 70% less alcohol than I would be with a full strength G&T. Being January, lots of people (myself included) are looking to drink in moderation but don’t necessarily want to go teetotal, so Hayman’s London Light is the perfect middle ground.
When do you tend to enjoy Hayman’s London Light?
Hayman’s London Light is my go-to when I fancy a mid-week G&T at home. I can still enjoy the ritual of preparing and drinking a delicious G&T but with less alcohol content.
It’s equally my top choice when I go out for lunch with friends at the weekend. I’ll opt for a delicious and elegant Hayman’s London Light cocktail which, being lower in alcohol, means that the rest of the afternoon isn’t a write-off!
What’s your favourite serve with Hayman’s London Light?
For me, the great thing about Hayman’s London Light is that it has been distilled to retain all the flavours of the botanicals. So, you can mix it in to your favourite gin cocktails like a G&T or Negroni for a drink which is lower in alcohol but still packs a punch in terms of taste.
Right now, I’m loving a Clemen-Thyme Smash. Clementines are still in season and it perfectly complements the refreshing citrus notes of Hayman’s London Light.
